General Description

The Zoning Board is charged with addressing the issue of "non-permitted uses” for property. The Zoning Board deals with the issuance of variances. Variances are based upon the municipality's zoning ordinances. The zoning ordinance establishes specific requirements for the land area within the municipality and regulates not only the uses permitted, but the size of the parcels, setbacks required, parking, signs, conditional uses and numerous other such regulations.

General Information

Meetings are held on the fourth Monday night at 7:30 PM in the 3rd Floor City Council Chambers unless otherwise specified.  For additional information, see >Government >Boards, Committees on this website.

The Zoning Board Secretary’s office hours are Mondays from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

The Zoning Officer is available Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. for general questions, however, appointments are suggested.  Plan reviews are by appointment only.
