Refuse Removal Information & Rules

Refuse Removal Guidelines
Public Works is responsible for the collection of leaves, garden debris, and recyclables from the curbside of residences, and trash from public buildings. Garbage Garbage is waste that results from food preparation and other usual household functions, not recyclables, bulky trash appliances or scrap metal. Garbage is picked up from the curb 2 times a week, not on holidays. If you do not know your garbage pick-up days, please call the Public Works Department at (973) 266-4030.
