Present and Former Orange Residents to Gather for Reunion and Day of Nostalgia, January 15, 2012.

Tony Monica, known in Orange for his videos and still photographs of the city's history, is sponsoring a gathering of Orange residents, past and present on SUNDAY, JANUARY 15, 2012 3pm till 6pm. (rain date 1-22-12.) at the YWCA 395 Main St., corner of Lincoln Ave. Orange. He is urging people to bring their memorabilia of Orange history both recent and long past. Those attending can reconnect with old friends and neighbors while enjoying good food, a slide show, still photos and videos.

Tony has been an engineer for Comcast, an independent videographer, technical consultant for Orange's Municipal Channel 35 and Orange community activist. A $20 donation is requested to offset the cost of food, hall and electronic equipment rental.

"Welcome current and former Orange residents. We are building on the efforts you put in to make this a great city to live in/or have lived in. Any corner you stop at has priceless memories to someone and that’s our goal to find the person that’s most knowledgeable on that location. 

Technology today allows anyone to contribute their priceless media, be it a scanner, camera, CD, or tape. With the social network FaceBook reconnecting family and friends, this will make it easier for any and all to meet and contribute. Our idea is to give them a chance to meet here in town. A few of us already have our collections to bring to the reunion. Anyone possessing worthwhile memorabilia please share it with us. Staples does a great job in enlarging and printing old photographs. I have the capability to transfer any format to DVD.A couple of laptops with CD burners that day would be useful .I’ll bring the blanks and perhaps a scanner/printer also.

Anyone who has suggestions and or would like to help in any way, please advise. Our goal is to find a way to archive and distribute our giant collection."
