Mayor Hawkins to hold workshops on housing programs available to residents and to discuss redevelopment progress in Orange.

The H.O.P.E - Housing Opportunity Program & Education Forums
Mayor Eldridge Hawkins, Jr. will host Housing Forum Workshops this month to discuss programs available to people who work and live in Orange.  The programs include home buyer programs that include down payment and closing cost assistance, financial assistance for homeowners wanting to make home improvements and financial and other assistance for homeowners struggling to keep their homes.  
If you work or live in Orange, come out to hear about the Live Where You Work, Home Plus, Smart Start, HMFA Home Buyer Mortgage, Police and Firemen’s Retirement System Mortgage, HUD Good Neighbor Programs and more from HMFA, Essex County and City officials and others.   You will also hear where and when new housing will become available.  Please do not miss this informative session
The workshops are scheduled for:
• October 11, 2011, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm, Oakwood Avenue School, 135 Oakwood Avenue
• October 25, 2011, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm, Lincoln Avenue School, Community Room, 216 Lincoln Ave
