Orange City Hall to be closed some Fridays February-June. Furlough days begin Friday, February 19th.

Orange Business Administrator John Mason has announced the furlough dates for the remainder of the current fiscal year. All elected officials and all employees (including the BA and Department Directors, except the Police Director) except those employees of the Police Department, Fire Department, and school crossing guards are included in the furloughs.

City Hall will be closed on the Fridays listed below. All contracted services will continue to be provided on furlough day dates (i.e. trash collection, animal control, senior citizen transportation).

129 city administrative employees and elected officials are included in the furloughs which will save the city an estimated $326,000.00 and limit the amount of the expected property tax increase.
