Home for the Holidays Sweepstakes Winners

If you get an email stating “Important message from Mayor Eldridge Hawkins, Jr.” in the subject line, be sure to read it.  You may be a winner in the Orange “Home for the Holidays” sweepstakes!

As part of a program to stimulate business over the holidays for merchants in Orange’s downtown shopping districts, the city ran a “Home for the Holidays” sweepstakes to draw shoppers into stores.  Shoppers could submit entries at 52 participating retail locations that displayed “enter here” banners.

More than 2,700 entries were received and the city is in the process of selecting winners.  As stated in the sweepstakes rules, winners will be notified by email only, so those who entered should check their email closely over the next two weeks.  Look for a message that states “Important message from Mayor Eldridge Hawkins, Jr.” in the subject line.  It could be an announcement that you’ve won one of six prizes offered in the “Home for the Holidays” sweepstakes.

The prizes include a 42” HDTV with home theater system, diamond stud earrings, Wii game system, laptop computer, and two iPod players.

Notifications will be sent via email in the next week or so with instructions to claim prizes.  After winners are notified by email, a list of winners will be posted on the city’s website. Winners will be invited to a meeting with Mayor Hawkins at City Hall in February, when prizes will be awarded.
